So yeah, after a looong time without posting anything, I'm finally getting my hands dirty. Not that anything bad happened, or that I stopped painting or drawing. Actually, since past journals, good things happened, such as graduating highschool, at night (jeez, even that's old news; that was by the end of 2008, lol), and quit smoking. Now this last one's got me pretty proud of myself
Anyways, I'll b in the process of posting some new stuff, others not so much
Also, thanks to everyone who's been faving my stuff and/or adding me. I really REAALLLY appreciate!!! ItI'll try being less shitty and more active on dA and reply to ppl.
One last thing that I'd like to share is a couple of freewares that I've fallen in love with. Yeah, cuz trying little programs and applicatitions, or even firefox add-ons, that will somehow enhance or facilitate my workflow, is like a hobby to me. It's something that i found myself enjoying and that can, everynow and then, just make me peacefully loose track of time doing.
Now, these two freeware programs that I'd like to share today are no "little applications" and I'm sure that will appeal to most ppl here on dA.
Fist is an image viewer that almost could not be any cooler. I had been looking for a loooong time for (a free) one, and altough there are good choices out there, my very best favourite is FastStone Imageviewer. The reasons are simple: I double click an image and I get FULLSCREEN!!! Whether it's jpeg or psd, i get fullscreen n no toolbars cluttering. Cuz they're hidden, and activate hover the mouse by the sides of the screen. Also the BEST zoom feature EEEVER. No scrolling the life out the mouse wheel again, just click and drag and u get a zoom size that can be configured. And all other cool features, like comparing side-to-side up to 4 images and also de the very BEST "copy to" n "move to" dialog boxes.
The only things i don't really care much about are the icons and not having the choice of viewing all file types. As for the Icons, the ones on the interface are kind of ok, but I really don't like the icons it gives the file types u associate FastStone to. But hey, u can always go to the folder options or use IconTweaker As for not being able to see all filetypes... well, the name itself, "Faststone IMAGEVIEWER", kinda says it all (although it will let choose between images, videos or both).
Anyways, a lot of features to experiment with. But anyone reading this should try it. Even if it's just cuz it's FREE
Second freeware program. This one REAAAAAALLY blew me away, as well. Just beautiful in all aspects, be it visually or in it's funcionality. If reading comics on your computer screen turned you off, you gotta GOTTA try Comic Rack. Not only a comicbook reader but also a comic book manager. If u like your digital comics, u DEF gotta try it. CDisplay was nice but needing an upgrade, or retirement, and with Comic Rack in the picture, it'll have to be the latter. Only thing I found they could improve? The zoom. Make it like FastStone and it will be the perfect app. N that's all I'm gonna say
Feel free to share your thoughts or just your favourite apps
Peace

Hey shorty, it's my birthday... :)
Yup, as of today, I am 3 years short to turn 30. If I ever find whoever fast forewarded my life, I'm a kick 'im in the chin >:(
I already had my b-day party, last sunday, with my buddy Mario, who turned 22 yesterday, n it was awsome. Buddies, beer, barbacue and beautiful sunny weather in Biscoitos... I only wish I was turning 22 as well :D

SANJOANINAS 2007
Sanjoaninas are HERE!!! Although it doesn't meen anything to most of th ppl who are gonna read this, it means a lot to the ppl here on this small island called Terceira, lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. And even more to someone with a dull job, like myself. I guess that's one of the reasons I haven't been drawing or painting; coming from work just to sit in front of the pc is not very appealing, these days. Even if it's to do what I luv the most: drawing/coloring/painting.
So, Sanjoaninas are Festivities hold to honor Saint John. Why?!? Because we, ppl of Terceira, needed an excuse to turn the whole town into one big party for a
Adding oC Event Files
Just adding links to oC's Event files. They're a bit old but they're ok.
For those who are not familiar with it, Event Files (or .wpe) are like Painter's scripts. It records the your strokes, n stuff, n allows u to watch a playback of someone drawing/painting.
U'll need openCanvas 1.1 for the .wpe's. oC 1.1 is freeware, it's not even 1MB in filesize n requires no instalation. U'll find tutorials here on DA, under Resources> Tutorials> Digital Art> Drawing/Painting/Airbrushing> openCanvas.
Enjoy
